Spammers!
Please indulge me in a little rant for just a few minutes.
What is the deal with spammers? Out of 110 comments so far, 76 of them are spam. What makes these people think that
- I care what they have to say?
- That they have something useful to say?
- That their spam links are worth my time?
- That it's worth their time to waste my time?
- That I have nothing better to do than to filter their bull shit posts?
Here's a screenshot of some of the more recent stuff that people are trying to post here (click on the image to see a bigger view):
Look at that first spam. That long ass and pointless comment was in response to my SEO post. Then there's this guy "Peter" from Russia who thinks he's being clever by hiding his spam links behind question marks. That jerk spammed me six times in two days. Dude! Get a friggin' life. Get yourself out of your mama's basement, and get a job that you're proud of.
This next spammer hit me 39 times in 5 days (click on the image to see a bigger view)!
If you look closely, both of those losers are spamming from the same IP address. Combined, they make up 45 of the 76 spam posts I've received. Again, what a massive waste of their time and mine.
However, it sure is fun to put them out there in the open. The best part is that I have some really good spam and security controls. I actually have multiple layers of each. So they can continue to waste everyone's time, but aside from this post calling them out, their efforts will never see the light of day.
